Abstract
In the ever-changing corporate landscape, the integration of technology has catalysed a fundamental revolution in different aspects of organizational functioning. Though the impact of technology is visible in every field discussing largely organization, it has affected human resource management (HRM) a lot. This chapter demystifies the concept and scope of electronic human resource management (e-HRM) with the help of existing literature and facts. The chapter also throws light on the bright and dark side of e-HRM. Overall, this chapter focuses on “what results to the people due to technology” and “what the people gain in the company” due to the intervention of technology.
